A new space for Connection

We’re excited to announce that the Craft Bakers Association will soon be launching an online community forum for our members. This will be a brand new dedicated platform where bakers from all over the UK (and beyond) can come together virtually to share ideas, seek advice, and foster community 24/7. It’s the ultimate support network.

What to expect

As well as continued access to all existing parts of your membership, we’ll be introducing…

Discussion Channels

Organised by topics – for example, you might find channels like General Baking Chat, Business & HR Questions, Sourdough Techniques, Equipment & Tech, Student Corner, Supplier Offers, and more. This structure will make it easy to jump into conversations that matter to you.

Q&A and Advice

Have a question about a recipe, or dealing with a tricky business situation? Post it in the forum and get answers from peers who have been there. One of the greatest strengths of the CBA is the combined knowledge of our members – the forum will harness that.

Resource Library

We plan to pin and archive especially useful posts (like a superb explanation on extending shelf life, or a checklist for new hires) so the forum becomes a living library of practical knowledge. You’ll be able to search past discussions and resources.

Get Ready to Engage

We’re currently building and beta-testing the forum to ensure a smooth experience. Register for updates and stay tuned for the launch date! In the meantime, here’s how you can prepare:
R

Make sure your membership is active:

The forum is a members-only benefit. If you need to renew or haven’t joined yet, join now so you don’t miss out on day one access.

R

Bring your most burning questions!

Once live, we encourage you to post an introduction and maybe your first question or tip. Perhaps you have a unique baking hack or you’re curious about how others handle a certain issue – bring that to the forum.

R

Spread the word:

The more participants, the richer the discussion. Encourage your bakery colleagues who are members to log in, and if you know a baker who isn’t a member yet, this upcoming forum might be a great reason for them to join.

How members can get access

The community forum will be exclusive to CBA members – another great perk of joining us. Access will be through our website’s member area, where you’ll create a forum profile (it can be as simple as your name and bakery, or feel free to be creative with a username). If you’re a member, you’ll receive an invitation and instructions by email once we launch.

Mobile-friendly for busy bakers

We know bakers are busy and often on their feet – that’s why the forum will be accessible via a mobile app or mobile browser easily. Have a quick question in the middle of a bake? Hop on your phone and ask the community.

Moderation & Community Guidelines

To keep this space positive and useful, we’ll have moderators (including CBA staff and volunteer experienced members) and some simple rules (be respectful, no spam, etc.). It’s important to us that everyone feels welcome and safe to share.

Coming soon – stay tuned!

We believe this forum will become the heart of the CBA community – a place where the camaraderie and knowledge-sharing that happen at our events can continue every day. **Watch this space for updates**. We’ll announce the official launch via email, social media, and on this page. A countdown or teaser might appear here as we get closer.

In the meantime, if you have suggestions for what you’d like to see in the forum or questions about how it will work, feel free to **contact us** and share your amazing ideas! We’re building this for you, our members, and we can’t wait to unveil it.
